| | Stretching Clamps | | | The SST Pneumatic Stretching Clamps are constructed for heavy duty operation with few movable parts which make it virtually maintenance free. They are available with clamp jams in sizes of 10 in. (250mm) and 6 in. (150mm) length. Both types can be used simultaneously since the pulling force of both clamps is proportionately the same. Therefore, the clamps can be arranged to suit any frame size. The SST clamps apply a force against the screen frames to pretension them during stretching. After the fabric is glued in place, the release of pressure will allow the frames to put an additional tension force on the fabric for zero-tension cut away loss. The jaws incorporate a double round, urethane dowel which locks down the fabric and eliminates slippage. This allows for higher tensions on fine meshes without breaking. Piston and piston rod are designed in such a manner that they cannot jam. After pressure is released, a release spring automatically pushes the clamps back to their original forward position. The stroke of the piston of the SST stretching clamp is 3.5 in. which is sufficient for the stretching of large frames. Compressed air is supplied through a control unit to air distributors. Every clamp is equipped with an air hose and quick connect fittings. This facilitates a simple interconnection of clamps and air distributor. The control unit consists of a regulator with a pressure gauge, and an "on" and "off" lever. The regulator can be adjusted to a specified pressure. A needle valve placed after the regulator controls the amount of air applied to the clamps to prevent shocking the fabric during the tensioning procedure. | | Swiss Pecap LE Mesh Rigid Aluminum Screen Frames SST-3 and SST-4 Stretching Clamps G-215 Pneumatic Stretching Machine G-550 and G-570 Screen Drying Chambers G-420 Automatic Coating Machine |
